July 3, 2011 — 2:00 PM: World premiere of Fixed Pattern of Distant Stars by Tiffany Ng
Sather Tower, UC Berkeley (Berkeley, CA)
Tiffany Ng, associate carillonist at UC Berkeley, premieres the repertoire she’s taking on tour to Europe this summer, including new works for carillon by Michael Nicholas, Andrew Ly, and Jen Wang. The Sather Tower carillon can be heard from five miles around, but the best seats in the house will be along Campanile Way, at the foot of the tower.

Wild Rumpus’ debut concert includes commissioned works by Travis Alford, Christopher Stark, Peiying Yuan, and me; as well as additional works by Takuma Itoh and others.
March 19-23, 2012: World premiere of work for piano and electronics by Gloria Cheng

Gloria Cheng premieres works for piano and electronics as part of a Regents Lectureship at UC Berkeley. (Exact date of concert during the residency TBA.)

Orangerie (Darmstadt, Germany)
Talea premieres a chamber work commissioned by the Harry and Alice Eiler Foundation for the Internationales Musikinstitut Darmstadt, as one of the Staubach Honoraria.
